ABOUT ME
I have worked as a Data Analyst for the past 4 years with a Non-profit. In that role, I analyzed data in a medical/clinic setting, as well as a call center. I have created hundreds of dashboards and reports predominantly in Salesforce, but also utilizing Excel, tableau, and Python.However, data has been a driving force in my day-to-day life since I first learned about Excel in high school. I have logged everything from budgets, wishlists, and holiday planning, to every coffee I have tried. I love data and believe that data, and understanding it, should be at the core of every decision we make both personally and professionally.

North Carolina Birds Analysis
I used python to explore the data using the pandas library. Once explored, I then cleaned the data by removing columns that were more than 90% null values. I then converted the "Observation count" column to an integer datatype and filled the "Null" values with "1", as it is safe to assume that any observation should have at least 1 bird.
Once the data was clean I exported the new dataset to a CSV format.
I then brought that CSV into tableau and built the dashboard.
Humphrey Bogart's Cinematic Work
Tableau partnered with IMDB to present a "Data plus Movies" challenge. They provided access to the IMDB database and challenged the community to create visualizations about any topic they wished. I immediately knew that I wanted to explore the cinematic works of Humphrey Bogart, who I hold to be one of the greatest actors to ever live. The visualization features a timeline of his works that is segmented to show each film he acted in that year, a treemap of his works displaying his best-rated films, as well as a portion, that I am very proud of, that allows you to see the actors and directors that he worked with the most.
It is this "Co-stars" section that gave me the most interesting insight I found. Even though Bogie is most often associated with Lauren Becall as his female costar, he only did 4 films with her. However, he most frequently worked alongside Anne Sheridan and Bette Davis at 7 films each.You can view and learn more on my Tableau public profile.
CERTIFICATIONS/COURSES
I am also a lifelong learner. Studying and learning new things is my #1 pastime. I am known to study any given topic at any given time, everything from combustion engines to chess to ornithology to knitting; no skill or topic is off limits. However, I always come back to data, learning about the technologies, techniques, and tools available for analysis. As you can see above this love goes beyond my professional capacities as I have found projects in my personal interests to explore.Below you will see a sampling of the courses I have taken. Bare in mind, that this does not include the hundreds of hours of YouTube content I have consumed on the topic of data analysis.
